I think anyone who has an opinion and voices it will offend someone.
It seems no matter what you say and how politically correctly and carefully you say it you offend someone. Or at least I always do.
What comes out when life squeezes you? When someone hurts or offends you? If anger pain and fear come out of you it's because that's what's inside.
Even to this day when someone says something derogatory about Boy George it still upsets and offends me. Part of me will always be quite attached to him.
It's OK to burn a Bible that's OK. OK to burn a flag OK that's all right. But just you know for heaven's sake don't say anything that might offend someone of the Islamic religion.
